This is due to the fact that converting a garage into a living space usually does not add enough square footage to a home to make a significant difference in its resale value. Furthermore, prospective buyers may be unwilling to pay more for a home with a converted garage because they believe it is less desirable than a home with a traditional, functional garage.

Before making any final decisions about adding a sunroom to your home, consult with a real estate agent or another expert to get an estimate of how much it will add to the value of your home.
